My ability to recognize that we are all unique individuals based on our background and life experiences contributes to my practice style. As a woman of color, I draw from my personal experiences and understandings and have the ability to be empathic to experiences of both people of color as well as allies. Being in the mental health field for over 15 years, I have the unique ability to offer services to adolescents, adults and couples.
Through the use of a strengths-based approach, I work with clients to help them uncover and identify their strengths and abilities. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skill building techniques, clients are able learn tools and strategies to use in their day to day experiences. It is my hope that in session clients feel therapy is a safe and comfortable space to be open, honest, feel confident and ultimately empowered!
